Books to buy when visiting India
Hopefully my India trip will get scheduled without a problem. Here's the books I plan to buy when I'm there. (Thank God for cheapo Indian editions!)
- A Random Walk Down Wall Street by Burton Gordon Malkiel (Edition 9?)
- Code Complete by Steve McConnell (Edition 2)
- Design Patterns: Elements of Reusable Object-Oriented Software by Erich Gamma et al. (Edition 1)
- Effective C++ / More Effective C++ / Effective STL by Scott Meyers (Edition 3 / Edition 1 / Edition 1) - I'm not sure buying three books would be worth it. Maybe I'll just buy the first one.
- Modern C++ Design: Generic Programming and Design Patterns Applied by Andrei Alexandrescu (Edition 1)
- Programming Pearls by Jon Louis Bentley (Edition 2)
- Fundamentals of Computer Graphics by Peter Shirley et al. (Edition 2)
- Multiple View Geometry in Computer Vision by Richard Hartley, Andrew Zisserman (Edition 2)
- Refactoring: Improving the Design of Existing Code by Martin Fowler et al. (Edition 1)

Raj, can you buy me a copy of the 2006 human development report while you're there?? :-) I love cheap indian editions. Let's hear it for globalization!
